Hello! My name is Sadao Matsumoto.

I'm Shop Manager of "Kimono Nagomiya" at Rakuten Ichiba.


I was born as Fourth Generation of Kimono Shop that is built in 1911 (Meiji era)

by my grand grand mother.


After my father was dead, I desided to succeed my family work "Kimono Shop"

in new style, and opened "Kimono Nagomiya" in 2006 at Yokohama City in Japan.


Before that, I had been working as a computer system engineer in ten years.

So, I could challenged to open Net Online Shop "Kimono Nagomiya" in 2008

at Rakuten Ichiba.


Kimono is the best clothings that you can feel Japanese Feeling "Wa".


In Japanese, "Wa" has various meanings such as "Combination", "Friendship",

"Harmony", "Cooperation", "Feeling at ease (in japanese "Nagomi")" and so on.

Which is fundamentally planted in the mind of Japanese people in long long years.


Our corporate philosophy is "Wa wo Tsukuru. Wa de Nagomu."(in Japanese pronunciation)

That means " Let's create 'Wa'. Feel at ease with 'Wa'. "


We're going to try everyday for the customers not only in japan but also in the world

to "Feel at ease (in japanese "Nagomi")".
